Music Production

As a Music Producer I believe every great record starts with the artist and their creative vision. Getting the right vibe on a record is one of the most important things when producing music. It’s my job to help you properly translate your music to the recorded medium. Through augmenting your tones and helping you capture the best performance possible, we can cultivate an aesthetic sound that supports the emotional feel of the album. Having the right performance with the right energy can define an album. I’ll work with you to perfect your performances and to get tones that carry an emotional energy that helps the record’s narrative come to life.

Music Recording

Recording is the process of capturing a performance. It’s up to you whether you choose to record live as a band, every instrument separate, or a hybrid of the two; The choice is yours. Most importantly, I work hard to capture your music appropriately given the context of your creative vision. Through careful choices of microphones, mic positioning, and preamplifiers (sometimes their distortion too); I ensure everything fits together in a natural way before we even begin to mixing. Working out of Bad Racket Studios in Cleveland, I have a 1000+ Sq. Ft. Live Room, Two Isolation Booths, & an Acoustically Acurite Control Room for mixing. I have the experience, space, and tools to ensure your project is a success.

Our live room is all about vibe, a relaxed environment where creativity can flow. Having a great sounding recording studio space loaded with great sounding gear is essential in creating a quality final recording.

Music Mixing

The true art of music mixing lies in cultivating an aesthetic sound that supports the record, but is also instantly recognizable. Once you have your material is recorded, it’s time to start Mixing music. By balancing the different elements, your music can reach its full potential. Using tools such as equalization, compression, Multiband Expansion, Limiting, Saturation, Reverb, Delay, and Modulation, we can create textures and carve out a space for each instrument; Giving it focus, space, and interest. Having good tonal balance is essential so it plays back consistently on a wide variety of listening environments.
