I’m Henri Rapp, an Ohio production sound mixer & location sound recordist for film, TV, & commercial video production. I’m based in Cleveland and available for shoots throughout Ohio. Ultimately I believe my job as a Sound Recordist is all about capturing performances; Whether that’s a documentary interview, comedian on stage, a musical performance, or actors in a narrative film…..it’s all about capturing those moments.
Prior to doing sound for video production, I started my audio career in a commercial recording studio producing music & doing audio post. With more than a decade of professional audio production experience I’ve worked on a wide variety of content types; Each with their own nuances. Drawing on the experience coupled with top tier equipment I provide location sound services you can rely on no matter the production’s requirments.
The production sound mixer has a lot of responsibility on set; From recording clean dialog & nat sounds, to wiring talent, logging metadata, ensuring sync between cameras and sound, creating a mix, coordinating with other departments, and a lot more. I’m love surpassing my clients’ expectations by providing exceptional on location production sound services… recording sound isn’t something I fell into, it’s my passion. Having dedicated more than a decade of my life to recording audio, I have the experience to ensure it gets done correctly.

This can range from lightweight bag based sound packages to a cart based sound recording system ready for complex workflows with a full team that includes a sound recordist, boom operator, & sound utility. Every equipment package is different based on the needs of your video production.
As a union production sound mixer, I’m available to work any union productions. I’m in good standing with IATSE (Motion Picture Studio Mechanics) Local 209 of Cleveland, Ohio. I can work as a local in Ohio, or as an out of town hire for productions in other jurisdictions, with permission from the local IATSE hall.
